One
day INTENSIVE workshops in The Alexander Technique taught
by Alice R. Pryor.
My workshops are designed in such a way that students
have opportunities to study and to learn from one another.
My workshops are open to both beginning and continuing
students. The emphasis is on exploring the nature of habit,
what specific habits we have that might be unproductive,
and what we can do to change those habits.
We, in the group setting, study the principles of the
Alexander Technique which we can use to make efficient,
productive, relaxed changes in our "use". We
look at ordinary activities and explore ways to improve
the way we go about doing them. We also look at performance
activities such as singing, playing an instrument, running,
biking, exercising. In each of these, our goal is to reduce
the unnecessary stress or tension we have experienced.
We aim to create more ease and flow in the manner in which
we go about all aspects of our life and activities.
The Alexander Technique, as applied to our daily life, is an extremely simple and effective process. Each time we experience the Alexander Principles we gain new insights into our flexibility and coordination and move along our path to improved use and ease.
