ALICE PRYOR

Alice R. Pryor, a member of AmSAT and ATI, received her training from the renowned Alexander Technique teacher, Marjorie L. Barstow, and is the director of the Texas Center for the Alexander Technique in Austin, Texas.

Ms. Pryor is certified by the American Society of the Alexander Technique and is a Sponsoring Member of ATI. She has been teaching the Alexander Technique since 1980 and has been a faculty member of the VoiceCare Network since 1985. She has presented workshops in the Technique for regional meetings of the National Association of Teachers of Singing and for colleges, universities and corporations throughout the United States, Europe and Australia.

Her background includes studies in stress management, meditation, Feldenkrais, Tai Chi, yoga and dance. Ms. Pryor received her Masters in Art Education from the University of Minnesota in 1966. She taught Art Education in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Texas. Her last eleven years in Art Education were spent training teachers at the University of Texas at Austin. Alice is also a registered massage therapist.
